He honed his skills over the years working with reputable firms such as Kingscourt Realtors, had a brief stint with Estatelinks, before joining Lawani Perjikins Consulting (Estate Surveyors & Valuers) where he resigned to set-up FIRST COLONY REAL ESTATE COMPANY LTD and HABIB SHITTU CONSULTING (Estate Surveyors & Valuers).

Habib obtained his HND in Estate Management from The Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi. He is an Associate Member of Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV). He is also a Registered Estate Surveyor and Valuer (RSV) with the Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria (ESVARBON).
